Is there a filter to edit html of user-edit.php

I am looking for a filter to edit html of user-edit.php just before it is echoed. To be more specific, I need to disable selecting multiple roles in Other Roles. But this filter would be very handy for other stuff too. And for other admin pages as well.

How do I add a custom button to my “edit” list? ( edit.php?post_type= ) beside “Add New”

I have a custom post type for a plugin I’m creating and the label for the “add an item” type of button (at the top of the list page) needs a partner-button that says “import” and one that says “export” so that I can (after a brief confirmation dialogue) allow my client to push and […]

As a plugin developer, it’s important to make sure the Dashboard has the same look-and-feel as the rest of the native components of WordPress to provide a better User Experience. For my plugin, I want to implement an accordion in my settings page. From reading this article and using wp_enqueue_script() function, it looks like this […]

WordPress Reading Settings

I find the default reading settings a bit confusing. The way it is shown looks like changes that can be performed all concern the front page / index page and no other page. Meaning when selecting to show a static page as the front page it will show the about page and content on the […]

Is there a way to remove the default css from TinyMCE?

I’m working on getting the editor to look more like the front end by adding extra CSS to the TinyMCE rich text editor. WordPress adds /wp-includes/js/tinymce/skins/lightgray/content.min.css and /wp-includes/js/tinymce/skins/wordpress/wp-content.css by default. Is there an easy way to remove this?

Prevent Selected Terms Rising to the Top

When you’re editing a post and select a child category or term, and update, the selected terms appear at the top ( leading to potentially confusing situations where ‘foo’ ‘foo’ and ‘foo’ are selected each with different parents and no way to tell them apart ). How do I prevent this behaviour? Either by showing […]

In WordPress 4.2 the is-dismissible class was introduced to allow notices to be dismissed. How to hook in and modify the new revisions UI (3.6+)?

Let’s say I want to add some post_meta into the “new” revisions UI. I’m saving some meta on revisions only, and want to display it on this screen. Normally, I’d open up wp-admin/revisions.php look for some hooks and code away. But the revisions page is all done with Backbone. I don’t know Backbone (totally willing […]

Add on the fly tabs to plugin options

Hi I am building a plugin options page. What I’d really like to do is implement repeatable tabs (which I know is possible with the Settings API), but with a twist I haven’t seen in any options panel till now. I’d like to create new tabs on the fly, exactly like the ‘Menus’ section in […]
